The Rio Grande Valley Wireless Initiative has numerous services to consider.  Aside from the obvious emergency services, meter reading, building permit issuance, traffic light controls, and many other services will become "real time".  Home health care would allow Valley hospitals to release patients to their respective homes, being not only constantly monitored for "vitals" but also visited remotely by a health-care worker at anytime during the day or night.  These functions should be pre-planned, so that a patient from Weslaco, coming from a hospital in Harlingen can enjoy these same services anywhere in the RGV.
