Military Service: 1972 U.S. Navy, trained as a U.S. Naval Hospital Corpsman and was initially stationed at a U.S. Naval Hospital. He then received advanced field medical school training and served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Southeast Asia.  Advancement to Petty Officer required Mr. Barnett to manage subordinates to accomplish objectives. Mr. Barnett was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1978.

Mr. Barnett co-founded a professional supplemental staffing agency, American Medical Services in San Diego, California in 1977. AMS “rented” Respiratory Therapy personnel to area hospitals. During his presidency he developed a variable staffing concept for hospitals to utilize a flexible work force to reduce payroll overhead. This concept was later presented to the American Association for Respiratory Therapy.

As Founder, President and CEO of CyberMedx, Mr. Barnett designed the CyberMedx business and marketing plans, developed the wireless OAI technology, deployed the initial product, designed the InteleNettTM and STATus product lines, consummated business relationships for further software/hardware product development, established the initial field sales representative component, and assembled a knowledgeable and experienced management team.

In 2008 Mr. Barnett sold CyberMedx Medical Systems, Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary to WIFI Med Holdings, Inc in Atlanta, GA and currently is its President.

This 40-year tenure in the health care industry has enabled Mr. Barnett to accumulate a tremendous market knowledge base, develop business expertise in Wireless Home Care.  We are proud to have a person on the board of the Rio Grande Valley Wireless Initiative with this kind of experience.
